More Questions
Do I need liability insurance?
Yes. All residents must maintain Minimum Required Liability Insurance (MRLI) for the lease term. Two ways to satisfy it:
-
-
Damage Waiver Program — $11/month. Enroll through the property. Nothing else to submit.
-
Bring your own policy. Name The Haven as an additional interest (info@confirminsurance.com or P.O. Box 19502, Irvine, CA 92623-9998), then submit a copy to portal.confirminsurance.com for approval. Resubmit before your policy expires, or you’ll be auto-enrolled in the DW Program.
-
Approval only confirms the policy meets our requirement — not that it covers a given loss. The Haven isn’t a licensed insurance agent or broker.
What does the Personal Contents Protection Plan cover?
An optional $7/month plan covering your personal belongings inside your apartment — think furniture, electronics, and other contents — in the event of fire, theft, or similar covered loss. It’s separate from your liability coverage, so you can add it whether you’re enrolled in the DW Program or carrying your own Third-Party Policy. Note: if you cancel the DW Program, you’re automatically opted out of this plan too — you’d need to re-enroll separately to keep contents coverage.
